In Castello di Otranto

In Castello di Otranto picks up on a story idea considered by Tim, a character in Four Bayswater Stories. Like them, it consists of four linked stories, this time with a seasonal frame, set at a house seaward of a mythical Italian village named after the title of the first gothic novel (by Robert Walpole) or in a metropolis based loosely on Milan. In order, the stories are: In Castello di Otranto: Summer; In Castello di Otranto: Autumn; In Castello di Otranto: Winter; and In Castello di Otranto: Spring.
