I wrote before I could read, owing to my English-style early education in Singapore, then a crown colony. I studied architecture and planning, working in those fields for four decades, but as a marketer and editorial director. In parallel, I founded Design Book Review with Laurie Snowden. My writing reflects my interests. My short poems and digital photo-collages are posted on my Tumblr site (j2parman.tumblr.com); longer things go here if they don't find another outlet (often in a shorter version). I've been writing fiction and post it here as stories or in parts. I live in Berkeley.
